Gregory Allen is a retired military veteran of 20 years who served six years in the US Navy and 14 years in the US Army.  After retiring from the Army in late 2020, Greg created Long Hunter Precision, where he could focus on making precision hunting rifles, with an emphasis on lightweight, maneuverable, and packable rifles that can be easily carried into the steepest, thickest, most demanding terrain from the Northwest to the Southeast. Long Hunter Precision’s vision is to model the original Long Hunters, albeit with updated and lightweight rifles, that helped to settle parts of Tennessee and Kentucky. Long Hunters were known to travel deep into the wilderness of Tennessee and Kentucky for months at a time. It is with this tradition in mind and an admiration for these men and the men that pioneered the great Northwest that Long Hunter Precision was born.
