Custom Rifles
Long Hunter Precision would love the opportunity to build your next custom rifle. In a custom build, the following information is required to create your perfect hunting rifle.
- Desired Price Point
- AR Style or Bolt Action
- Right Handed or Left Handed
- Caliber
- Barrel Length (16” or longer only) and Twist-Rate
- Barrel Type: Stainless Steel, Carbon-Sleeved, Carbon-Wrapped
- Will this rifle be Suppressed or Unsuppressed (if suppressed, LHP needs to know the required muzzle thread size to fit your suppressor); if the rifle will not be suppressed, what type of muzzle device do you prefer (Flash Hider, Muzzle Brake, Compensator, Linear Compensator, Hybrid, or none)
- Handguard: Length and attachment type (Picatinny, M-Lok, or Key Mod)
- Trigger: (Straight, Curved, Straight with a Shoe, Curved with a Shoe)
- Trigger Pull Weight
- Pistol Grip: Fixed or Folding
- Pistol Grip: Traditional A2 Style or » 90°/Vertical
- Buttstock: Folding or Non-Folding, Collapsible or Fixed, Adjustable Cheek Piece or Fixed
- Colors (FDE, Black, etc.)
REQUIRED INFORMATION
- Desired price point (your budget)
- Availability of desired parts (LHP will search all known suppliers for your desired parts by your desired brand)
- Desired weight (is the rifle weight a factor for you)
- Desired purpose for the rifle (bench shooting, hunting)
- Expected distances (long-range northwestern style hunting, short-range southeast backwoods style hunting, southwest long- distance flat desert style hunting)
- Expected hunting environment (high-altitude mountain, or long-distance hunting where the length of the rifle, foldability, and packability will be a factor, or southern backwoods day hunting from a stand or blind)
ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS
Throughout the design and build of your rifle Long Hunter Precision will remain in contact with you and will be transparent as to the availability of your desired parts, cost as it relates to your desired price point, alternative parts if necessary to achieve your desired price point and expected timeline for your build. LHP will make every attempt to use your desired parts, however, if your parts are either unavailable or will contribute to breaking your desired price point, LHP will propose alternative parts to help achieve your desired price point. Once we receive your inquiry for a build, we will reach out over the phone to discuss your build to fine tune the details. Once we have agreed upon the build, a 50% non-refundable deposit will be required to ensure you are serious about the build and will follow through with the purchase. We recognize this purchase is not an easy decision and could represent a significant investment to you and your family, but our goal throughout your build is to ensure you are comfortable with your decision.
